We at Abe’s Market are passionate about helping our community of sellers grow. That growth should happen via connecting with consumers via Abe’s but also may happen via other channels. We plan to help our community by providing access to people and resources that may be difficult or too time consuming to reach on their own. Tuesday night’s Webinar with Brian Tockman, former Senior Buyer at Target, was our first attempt at providing such access.

I may be a bit biased but the event was fantastic. Brian spoke about how a category buyer thinks and how to appeal to their objectives. Several of our sellers were interacting in real time while others who had prior commitments and have requested we post the webinar for later viewing. Sellers can now  log into their dashboard and see the link to the webinar, please send us feedback as well as your requests for future webinars.

Looking forward to providing many more opportunities  for our seller community online and offline.

Life is fantastic.  So I told myself on my walk to work this morning.  Beautiful day.  Love the short walk through my quaint neighborhood. Fantastic wife and three lovable kids.  And I finally picked up the much-needed extension cord I’ve been meaning to buy.

What really has me loving life today, however, is the huge progress we’re making on Abe’s Market.  We’ve taken a preview site live for all our sellers.  It hasn’t been perfectly seamless for all of them, nor did we expect it to be.  But overall, the feedback from our sellers is pumping me up.  Just a few quotes:

Never before have exclamation marks made me so happy!  This feedback makes the many long nights for the past few months so worth it.  It’s important to take a short pause to enjoy the fruits of our labor to date.  We have a long way to go to achieve what we want with Abe’s Market, but it’s gratifying to know that we’re on the right path.  Thank you, sellers, for engaging with us and for making this venture so much fun.  The fun is just beginning!
