I love it when people get ultra creative to prove a point. Below is a video of David De Rothschild setting sail on the Plastiki a very impressive catamaran made of 12,000 plastic bottles and other reclaimed material. The idea is to raise awareness about sustainability and I think it works and he looks like he is having a whole lot of fun.

This reminds me of when Willie Nelson drove from New York to LA in 38 hours to publicize his BioWillie Fuel. Note, they did not stop the engine and only pulled over to switch drivers. The details of how they avoided bathroom breaks is in the link above…

Call it gimmicky or a stunt but everyone enjoys the entertainment of it and frankly I admire anyone who thinks of a wild idea that can benefit the world and chases it.
