Question: are your cake mixes kosher? are any of your products kosher?

Answer: Hello! Thanks for your excellent question! At this time (January 2012), the products we have on hand are not Kosher certified, however we are currently in the process of become Kosher certified by Earth Kosher. This should take effect within the next month or two. When it is in place, all of our information will list that we are kosher certified and the products we send out will be kosher certified. In addition, we will also be certified in the following: Gluten Free Certified, USDA Organic, Non-GMO Certified, and Vegan Certified. Please let me know if you have any other questions! Question: Hi! I just wanted to ensure that these cake mixes are egg and peanut free, and they don't require eggs for baking.

Answer: Hello! Thanks for your interest in Wholesome Chow's products! All of our products are vegan and do not require the use of eggs in preparation. At this time (January 2012), our products are produced in a facility which also uses eggs,wheat and dairy, though strict manufacturing protocols are in place to prevent cross contamination. And, currently our products are produced in a Peanut-Free facility. In the near future, our manufacturing process will be changing and all of our products will be produced in a dedicated facility for the following: Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Egg, Dairy, Casein and Wheat/Gluten. Question: Hi Veronica, I noticed that you said you will become Gluten Free Certified. Does that mean you will be making products without wheat flour, rice flour or corn flour? I am sensitive/allergic to all the gluten proteins.

Answer: Hello! Thank you for your question! We will be coming Gluten Free Certified by CSA very soon. They are in charge of regulating the PPM of gluten (wheat, etc.) particles in food products. They do not regulate rice and corn. We will still be using rice flour and corn in our products. Although, please stay tuned as we release new products often which might meet your needs!
