I believe what goes on children's bodies should be as natural as what goes in their mouths.

After the birth of my first child, I struggled to find salon quality, natural products created especially for kids’ hair, scalp and skin. I was in an ideal position to do something about the lack of options, with more than a decade of experience in hair and skin product development at L’Oreal, Parfums Givenchy and Avon. I partnered with a team of botantists on a certified organic farm in upstate New York who helped her create a new line of organic shampoos, conditioners, detanglers and lotions for babies and children.

Furthermore, I was an agricultural Peace Corps volunteer in Paraguay where I nurtured a passion of developing natural products.

Babo Botanicals uses only pure flower and plant extracts for her dermatologist-tested creations. There are no artificial fragrances or colors, and you won’t find any icky stuff — no sulfates, formaldehyde, paraben or phthalates. Babo Botanicals products (named after her son’s security bunny) are free of dairy, soy and high allergy nut oils, too.

Kate’s mission is one we can get behind, too. She’s committed to natural ingredients, eco-friendly packaging and corporate responsibility — a portion of Babo Botanicals revenue supports a non-profit project to turn community center rooftops into gardens.
