In the winter of 2003, we wanted to do something new and fun for Christmas gifts. With visions of fruitcake and wreaths dancing in our heads, we eventually stumbled upon a magazine article about ‘melt and pour’ glycerin soaps. Like happy little elves, we got to work. With backgrounds in Fine Art and Fashion, we created unique recipes, colorful packaging, and clever names for our soaps. More (+)
We were happy with the finished products and our family and friends insisted that we continue to explore the fruits of our labor.
Having grown up in a family that has always been advocates of alternative health practices and all-natural beauty products, our investigation into the benefits of botanicals came as no surprise. Very quickly our research turned to obsession, and this new hobby became more than just a weekend pursuit. We soon quit our day jobs and devoted free time to creating the all-natural products we couldn’t find on the shelves. Biggs & Featherbelle was officially born. We did local festivals, then regional fairs, and eventually made it to store shelves throughout the U.S.
Today, our vision for our company remains the same. We strive to make products that are created for specific skin types, smell too good to be true and appeal to everybody. We remain committed to providing a body care line that will make you look and feel your best without compromising your health or the health of the planet. Biggs & Featherbelle is and always will be safe, all-natural, free of additives and synthetics, and scented with only pure essential oils.
