For every pair sold, VOS® provides basic healthcare and education to the natural rubber producing communities that cultivate the sustainable raw material for its sandals. In addition, for every pair sold, a pair is given to someone in need of footwear around the globe.

A few of the Founder's lifelong passions have been helping others, soccer and international business. Over time he began to couple his personal and professional experiences in the aforementioned realms with his natural instinct of international entrepreneurism. Having the opportunity to travel the globe over, he has always been keen to noticing the array of humanitarian needs that are prevalent in various regions of the world.

Once exposed to the aforementioned needs, it was impossible for him not to put-into-action his ability to bridge the developed world with the developing world to work towards a better today & tomorrow in unison globally.

The inspiration to provide footwear to individuals in need of the same was born in the less fortunate regions of the world while he would play soccer with individuals that lacked footwear. The inspiration to integrate healthcare & education into the VOS® social initiative was born through his exposure to the need of the same in communities around the globe as a linguistic translator for medical teams and instructors which provide this attention to communities to raise their quality of life.

The name VOS® is an inspiration of a Spanish language expression used throughout the Central and South American regions of Latin America. In the aforementioned regions of the world, the word “vos” is used colloquially in many countries and it actually means “you” in the pronoun form. This variety of Spanish is formally referred to as “voseo” and it is a direct derivative of the formal Castilian Spanish spoken in Spain. Hence, we were inspired to create a brand from this expression due to the fact that it is very easy to say across the gamut of languages and it represents so much more than a name, it represents “you” and “you” represent VOS®.
