It's Thyme for Tarragon-encrusted Salmon

Grilled salmon is a wonderful way to get more omega-3 fatty acids into your diet, but don't fall asleep making a boring grilled salmon dinner. Add some zing with Simply Organic's steak seasoning. Steak seasoning? Yup. Salmon is thick enough to take on the bold flavors that including tarragon, thyme, garlic, sea salt, onion and bay leaf. Serve that with some steamed broccoli or grilled asparagus and quinoa to round out dinner.

Tarragon- and Thyme-encrusted Salmon Recipe

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 T softened butter 
  • 2 T lemon juice 
  • 1 package Simply Organic Steak Seasoning 
  • 1 to 1 1/2 pounds of salmon steak, minimum of 1-inch thick 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat broiler to high or warm up grill. 
  2. In a small bowl blend butter, lemon juice and steak seasoning (enough to create a layer on fish; probably a couple of tablespoons). Lay salmon on broiler pan or grill, skin side down. Spread a thin layer of butter mixture on steaks. Broil 8 to 10 minutes, or grill until salmon is just flaky.
