The Recipe:

Super Bowl of Slow Cooker Chili 3 Ways: Beef, Turkey & Vegetarian

By:  Susan  Schwartz, Ph.D.  Co-Founder, Jesben Slow Cooker Sauce Company  January 21st, 2014

The Super Bowl is coming — a great excuse for a party in the middle of winter. Chili, a classic party food for football and winter, is a great Super Bowl party food because it is versatile (can easily be a beef, poultry or vegetarian dish with different levels of heat) and is easy to self-serve out of a slow cooker. Add in optional accompaniments like tortilla chips, chopped cilantro, shredded cheese, sliced scallions, sour cream and hot sauce and it becomes a veritable DIY dish.

Nobody wants to be stuck in the kitchen during the big game. Make the following recipes ahead and keep them warm until the game. The use of an all-natural slow cooker sauce made entirely of vegetables and seasonings speeds up prep time considerably. And using lean ground beef, turkey or all vegetables ensures a low-fat delicious meal!
